Message from Our Founders

While golf and other activities have long offered exclusive, refined services, fishing lacked a comparable standard of sophisticated support. Recognising this gap, we created YOUR FISHING BASE—a bespoke service dedicated to elevating the fishing experience to the highest levels of quality, luxury and excitement for clients in Japan and around the world.

Co-Founder | Yuya Kuratomi

Serves as a director of Suzuchiyo, a seafood wholesaler at Tokyo’s Toyosu Market, and has been an avid angler for over 20 years. Founded a cybersecurity startup (now GMO Cybersecurity by Ierae, Inc.) in 2013, successfully selling it to GMO Internet Group in 2022 for approximately 178 million USD. He is currently based in Singapore, where he manages multiple businesses operating across Singapore, Japan, and beyond.

Co-Founder | Takaaki Ono

From childhood, inspired by his family’s fishing roots, Takaaki developed extensive knowledge across all types of fishing. After university, he played a key role during the founding years of Fishing Vision, Japan’s premier fishing TV channel. With over three decades of angling experience, Takaaki continues to explore all fishing genres—sea, river, boat, shore, lure, and bait—embracing the unique charms of each season.
